Ali Gallefoss (b. 1989, Bergen) works with a diverse variety of materials and techniques to create objects which explore the coincidences and possibilities that lie within the process of making. Merging functionality with visual expression, his work blurs the border between art and design, and offers an unorthodox perspective on our contemporary world. Gallefoss holds a BA in Furniture and Spatial Design from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design, and an MA from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Winner of the Bo Bedre’s Design Awards as Newcomer of the Year in 2020, he has been exhibited at QB Gallery (Oslo, 2022 and 2021), Galleri Format (Oslo,2022 and 2020), Adorno (London, 2021), 3daysofdesign(Copenhagen, 2020), Dover Street Market (Beijing, 2019), and Stockholm Furniture Fair (2017) among others. Gallefoss lives and works in Oslo, Norway.
